My audience is simple, my topic is about the dangers steroids have on your health. My audience will be to those people (whether they are athletes are your average Joe) who are using, want to use, or have used steroids. This will hopefully put in perspective what this drug can do to their health. I understand why my topic is so timely, I have to completely understand what I am talking about to be able to make an argument about my topic. If I did not know anything about my topic my argument would be useless and ineffective to my entire audience. I have invested myself into this topic because, I know a lot of people who have used steroids in their past and now regret the outcomes that it has given them. Although it might look great and seem great at first, the end results are usually an unhappy one. I think in high school teachers didn't really care and have the love for teaching about writing or couldn't express it because, of the strict timeline they had. In college the teachers are always so involved and happy about what they are teaching and want all their students to become the best writers. I have not really seem a lot of viewpoints, I think my issue with this is because, I have gotten so involved in arguing my topic that I am tending to close out any other viewpoints. What I found most interesting in my research this past week was that this Anabolic-androgenic steroid can effect your brain so much that it can essentially make you addicted to the drug sometimes causing overdose.
